Are you an experienced Bookkeeper with Management Accounting experience?

We’re working with a friendly and progressive accountancy practice in Shrewsbury that prides itself on building long-term client relationships and providing practical, forward-thinking financial support to local businesses. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to appoint a Bookkeeper with strong management accounting experience to join their close-knit team.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on position where you’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, supporting them with both day-to-day bookkeeping and insightful financial reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Bookkeeping for a range of SME clients
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
• VAT returns and reconciliations
• Cashflow forecasting and budgeting
• Bank and control account reconciliations
• Assisting clients with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
• Liaising directly with clients to provide financial insight and support

About You

• Proven experience in bookkeeping within a practice or multi-client environment
• Confident preparing management accounts
• Strong working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software
• AAT qualified (or qualified by experience)
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable building relationships with clients
