The Role

The successful candidate will be integral to the continued success of the Company Commercial department. Based in Shrewsbury, you will handle a broad caseload, advising clients on all aspects of company and commercial law while contributing to the department’s growth and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a varied caseload of company and commercial matters, including business sales and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, and corporate restructuring.
  • Providing strategic advice to clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
  • Achieving individual billing targets and maintaining compliance with Lexcel and firm policies.
  • Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities to expand the department’s client base.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Staying updated on developments in company and commercial law to provide expert advice.

About You

You are a motivated and experienced solicitor with:

  • A minimum of five years PQE in Company Commercial law.
  • A proven track record of managing a diverse caseload independently.
  • Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
  • Leadership abilities to supervise and inspire junior team members.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for department growth.
