Our client, a large national organisation based just outside Shrewsbury is currently looking to recruit a Group Supply Chain Administrator on a part-time, permanent basis.

The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain administrator is to support all divisions of the company with a cost-effective supply chain – where supplier on time delivery, stock availability and product quality are our main focus.

Key responsibilities:

·         Issuing Purchase Orders: Order Summary Processing (using Winman (ERP Software) standard process,) to issue Subcon Orders and Purchase Orders during annual leave cover for the supply chain team

·         Expediting Purchase Orders: Regular contact with all suppliers on order management and to ensure deliveries are received on time, to maintain Winman comments reflecting key supporting information. To escalate to the Supply Chain Team Leader any deliveries that could lead to back orders or customer delays

·         Liaise with other departments such as: Tracking and liaising with Finance for Far East supplier payments. To ensure any financial issues are smoothly and quickly resolved. Liaise with the warehouse, to ensure the smooth flow of material into the business and the effective support and planning for Customer Orders and Manufacturing Orders.  Non-Conformity Deliveries raised and closed in a timely manner.

·         General Purchasing: Undertake control of all non-production purchasing such as stationary, general purchases, packaging etc. Tracking, negotiating, evaluating, and updating Freight and Haulage prices on a regular basis, ensuring we have a competitive offer

·         Supplier Returns: Raise and process supplier returns and debit notes, as required

Skills & experience required:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications (intermediate Excel) (Essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and must have proven experience of working at a detailed level (Essential)
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, trouble shooting and strong team building skills (Essential)
  • Ability to work well under pressure (Essential)
  • Must be organised, efficient and work methodically (Essential)
  • Excellent communication skills with an excellent compression of the English language (verbal and written) (Essential)
  • Previous supply chain experience (Desirable)
