Social Media & Marketing Assistant
Full TimeDue to recent growth, our client has for an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated and creative Social Media & Marketing Assistant to join their award-winning team within their leading children’s magazine publishing company, based in Shrewsbury.
Duties include:
- Working alongside the digital manager to create well-designed interactive, educational and engaging social media content.
- Copy writing posts & blogs as well as managing competitions and responding to comments
- Planning & scheduling posts over a variety of platforms
- Using Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Developing paid digital marketing strategies
- Updating content on a WordPress website
- Liaising with licensors, PR companies and colleagues.
- Subscription management, reporting and analysis
- General office duties
Requirements:
• You will ideally be educated to degree level in Digital Marketing, Social Media Management or similar and have at least a basic knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Microsoft Excel. There will be some in-house training but demonstrable experience of these programs is essential. A basic knowledge of WordPress would also be beneficial.
• You must be an outgoing, creative thinker, be able to use your initiative and possess excellent social media skills and be able to communicate your ideas.
• A good standard of spelling, grammar and punctuation is essential.
• You must possess strong organisation skills, the ability to work quickly to tight deadlines and must pay good attention to detail.
• You must be able to provide and take direction in an open-minded, enthusiastic and supportive manner.
• The successful candidate will be self-motivated, commercially-aware, able to keep abreast of the ever-changing social media environment and will be able to interpret and accommodate requirements from internal and external customers to maintain continuity and brand integrity.
This is a full-time position on a permanent contract working for a reputable company which offers a competitive salary of £19,000 – £24,000 per annum, dependent on experience plus benefits
