Our client based in Shrewsbury are seeking an experienced and customer-oriented receptionist to join their team. As the first point of contact for their clients, the receptionist will play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression of their company. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, and confident IT skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and clients and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Answer and transfer phone calls, take messages, and provide general information
  • Manage the reception area, including keeping it clean and organised
  • Receive and sort incoming mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a receptionist or similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a full-time (Monday to Friday 8:30am until 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch, 37.5 hours) permanent position offering circa £10.42 per hour. They are based in modern offices which are close proximity to good public transport links.
