Procurement Coordinator
Full TimeOur client, a long established and well respected organisation based in Shrewsbury is recruiting for an Procurement Coordinator to join their existing team. This is a full time, permanent position.
In this role, you will be working closely with several departments across the business. Due to the nature of works they undertake, this role will require candidates with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Job Purpose
To provide detailed and competitive quotations for minor installations as requested by current and potential clients. To source and allocate a variety of materials from wholesalers to engineers on demand, ensuring the best possible prices are paid and materials are available within the required time frames.
Main Duties
- Estimating prices for jobs quoted by engineers
- Completing orders from accepted quotes and reactive orders
- Ordering emergency equipment to complete any breakdown works
- Ordering materials for engineers within the agreed time frames in correspondence with material lists
- Ordering access equipment for engineers within the agreed time frames
- Ensuring materials are purchased at the most cost-effective rate
- Providing employees with support in relation to materials required for works
- Liaising with suppliers ordering and price negotiation
- Chasing orders
The post holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work within the company as the needs of the business grow.

This is an office based position working full-time between Monday and Friday, offering £22,000 to £24,000 DOE. There is onsite free parking and good public transport links to where they are based.
