Paralegal
Full TimeOur client, an established and rapidly expanding multinational organisation with an office in Shrewsbury is looking to appoint an experienced and qualified Paralegal/Contracts Manager to join their existing team.
Working within the Contracts and Compliance department you will be instrumental in supporting with group supplier and client contracting processes, ensuring the legal compliance is effectively and efficiently completed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support contract drafting for clients, attending negotiations on contract terms with client stakeholders and procurement teams when necessary; and seeing through the contracts process for each from start to signature.
· Review supplier contracts, providing markup and feedback to suppliers and negotiating contractual terms
· Ensure the organisations contracts policies and processes are adhered internally to as well as support to identify areas of improvement and development.
· Support contract compliance processes and corrective action reporting processes, working with the compliance team.
· Promote contracts awareness and training across the business as well as initiate contracts awareness initiatives.
· Support data protection contracts compliance in line with GDPR in the UK and in the EU and global data protection laws, notably in Australia (the Privacy Act) and the US (CCPA).
· Support infosec and compliance questionnaires and audits by third parties form a contractual perspective.
· Develop and maintain the contracts side of the companies intranet site.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
· Former experience in at least two contracts-oriented roles.
· Experience of contract drafting or commercial legal training.
· A reasonable understanding of data protection laws, feeding through to the contracts process.
· Experience in negotiating commercial terms and conditions with various stakeholders: procurement teams, lawyers and other third parties.
· A hands on, sleeves rolled up, trouble-shooting, problem-solving approach.
· A rigorous eye for detail, logical and methodical approach to contract markup and terms coupled with commercial understanding and experience.
· Strong research skills in order to keep abreast of regulatory changes or industry changes or trends that may impact the contracts process and operations of the business.
· Super strong administration, time management and prioritisation skills to support the above points.
· Strong people engagement skills with the ability to converse and negotiate at all levels to support the organisations business development.
You must be a passionate, committed and inquisitive individual who is driven, enjoys learning, shows integrity and isn’t afraid of being involved in projects which requires you to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and internal customers at all levels in the business.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours Monday to Friday – hybrid working possible)permanent position offering a starting salary of between £30,000 & £50,000 DOE plus performance based annual bonus as well asa range of benefits including critical Illness cover, medical & life assurance, enhanced holiday and pension provision.
