Our client, a rapidly growing business consultancy organisation based in Shropshire is looking to appoint a Change Manager to join their friendly and professional team.

The organisation is a purposeful change business, delivering tailor-made services and solutions to businesses looking to evolve and develop in a variety of ways. In a nutshell, they help businesses ‘change better’ and work to empower their individuals and teams along the way.

The purpose of the role will be to partner with their global clients to deliver and embed change via a focused and dynamic methodology.

You’ll be driven in your approach to building and fostering a collaborative environment across a spectrum of people and cultures. You will be consulting with senior management to design and execute strategies that can be implemented efficiently, ensuring minimal resistance along the way.

You will have a working knowledge of ADKAR and a demonstrable track record of executing change, but you’ll also be a lifelong learner looking to utilise and enhance your tactical skillset whilst developing your strategic approach. Being open to working side by side with a very experienced consultant, from whom you can learn a great deal, is paramount.

As Change Manager, it will be your sweeping responsibility to oversee and orchestrate the intricacies of preparing for and implementing change within large, corporate environments. However, the role is more nuanced than that, as you’ll be working with people at all levels – from operational to senior management – to get communications out the door and initiate the process of preparing a workforce for change.

Our client works with global companies, so said communications and training resources may need to cater to a broad range of languages. Experience of managing third-party providers would be especially valuable in this instance.

To succeed in this role, it’s important that you have strong relationship-building capabilities and possess an ability to translate and interpret between the client, project team and sponsorship coalition to maximise employee receptivity. The process of change takes a long time, and so it’s worth noting that you need to be prepared to take on something that already has a history. Having dealt with resistance or corporate conflict before will assist you in the tasks of diffusing mindset discrepancies and nurture your capacity for bringing people with different points of view together.

Flexible, curious and forward thinking, you’ll be excited by the opportunity of working for a small business imbued with a big vision. Our client wants to have a significant impact on how businesses operate in the face of internal and external change; beyond what they already do, they are interested in pursuing the bigger picture of green projects and climate-orientated shifts in the world of global business.

Adaptable, dynamic and kitted out with scrupulous attention to detail, you will be a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, and won’t shy away from engaging with customers either via phone, video or face to face.

This is a truly exciting opportunity to work with a bold, quirky team, where you will have a key role to play in the growth of the business. The offering of realistic paths to progress will quickly enable you to develop your career and find your feet within this industry of limitless potential.

The position is a permanent, part-time (30 hours per week) position that requires flexibility. It will be a largely remote role, with 1 day a week in the office required for the purpose of in-person team collaboration, and it’s for this reason that applicants should live within a practical commutable distance of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Our client is a champion of the people-first approach, and this setup will enable the successful candidate to commit to other projects and responsibilities.

You will need to possess the ability and willingness to travel on occasion, either to client sites or for the purpose of networking.

The starting salary offered is £36,000 per annum (for 30 hours per week) and other benefits include an enhanced pension scheme, your birthday off, social and welfare benefits and dedicated training and development to empower you in believing that you can truly make your career thrive.
