Commercial Insurance Account Handler

Overall objectives:
The role has responsibility for generating revenue and developing the profitability of the business whilst ensuring full FCA compliance in all aspects of commercial lines insurance. Ensuring a quality service is provided to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements whilst allowing you the opportunity to grow and progress with the company.
Duties and responsibilities:
Ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client and insurer in all aspects of the role:
- Renewals
- Mid Term Adjustments
- Claims
- Queries
- Premium financing arrangements
- Cover note issuance
- Advising clients on new and existing products in accordance with their needs
- Maintain good credit control and ensure bad debt queries are dealt with efficiently and in line with company procedure.
- Ensure all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the compliance manual – use checklists and support documentation as provided by the company to assist with demonstrating compliance.
- Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times.
- Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and provide professional product advice and guidance.
- Actively secure renewal business ensuring terms are presented to the client compliantly, in a timely manner and in accordance with the company’s procedures.
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience working in an insurance brokers.
- Experience using IT systems and Microsoft Office package
- Have a high level of accuracy in numeracy and literacy
- Have good attention to detail
- Have the ability to successfully work as part of a team and support others
- Have good communication skills
Ideal requirements:
- Have experience in commercial insurance lines
- Hold CII qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Acturis
Salary / Package:
Salary up to £35,000 depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Working hours will be Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (35 hours). Holiday entitlement will be 24 days plus bank holidays.
