Accounts Senior / Manager
Full TimeOur client based in Wolverhampton is looking to appoint an Accounts Senior/Manager within their established accountancy practice.
The firm is a forward-thinking Chartered Accountancy practice. They are looking for a qualified ACCA or ACA to join the team and be responsible for a portfolio of clients. The practice has been in existence for over 100 years but has a modern outlook and seeks a career driven individual looking for a new challenge who is keen to progress within the practice.
Role and Responsibilities You will handle your own portfolio of clients mostly family-owned limited companies and produce accounts, corporation tax returns and some personal tax returns primarily for partner level review. Clients would also include Charities, Doctors, Solicitors and Audits so a technical knowledge base would be ideal. You may also be involved with the tax affairs of the directors involved and ad-hoc client requirements such as forecasting or general business support issues, such that you may develop the skills needed to become a partner in professional practice. You will also be involved in internal projects to help improve the efficiency and increasing use of IT in the practice. Profile You will have a background and, most likely, have previous Accountancy practice experience operating around accounts senior or junior manager level and have broad sector and technical experience probably gained within a small to medium-sized practice. The role will include some home working flexibility over time, as well as client based and office-based duties. Preferred Skills · Technical skill set, including knowledge of charities and auditing · Experience of using Xero, QBO, Sage, IRIS, Tax Calc, XPM, Dext · Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills · Willingness to promote the practice to potential clients · Clean driving licence This is a great opportunity to work with an established and progressive practice where realistic opportunities to progress are available.
