Community Fundraising Officer
Full TimeOur client, a long-established and highly respected charity based in Shropshire is looking to appoint a Community Fundraising Officer to join their dedicated team.
As a Community Fundraising Officer, you will have responsibility to grow community fundraising income; by building and maintaining long term, mutually beneficial relationships, with volunteer fundraisers, businesses, groups, and associations.
You will work closely with the wider team to research, organise and be involved in events, attending networking groups and proactively identifying opportunities to increase fundraising income by promoting the charity and increasing engagement with organisations and individuals within Shropshire, South Staffordshire, South Cheshire & North/Mid Wales.
You will help raise funds from corporate sponsorship and apply for grants and explore other funding and support avenues. Developing the donor database and creating opportunities for the volunteer fundraisers are also key tasks within the role.
You must be a degree graduate, ideally with a business/marketing discipline who demonstrates an intelligent, personable, friendly, and driven personality. Being organised and methodical and having excellent communication skills are essential.
You must be self-motivated and demonstrate that you can use your initiative as this role does involve working on your own for long periods.
The role will be predominately home-based whilst Covid-19 restrictions remain in place, however in time you must be able to travel throughout the region as well as to the head office in Oswestry, therefore having a driving licence and your own transport is essential.
This is a full-time permanent position working 37.5 hours per week but due to the nature of the position you will need to work on an evening or weekend occasionally, however time is given back in lieu.

Offering a starting salary of £20,000 plus bonus. Laptop & phone is provided, and all expenses related to travel are of course covered.
